Be The Change

Ife Davis is a writer, director, filmmaker, performer, and producer who uses art to create the stories she wishes to see in the world. She has served as the Assistant Director and Assistant Artistic Director of two Off-Broadway productions. As a drama major at NYU Tisch, she writes and embodies stories centered on people of the African diaspora. She is trained in various dance forms, including hip hop, jazz, liturgical movement, and Afro-dance. She has studied abroad in Ghana and has produced four short films, three of which discuss Ghanaian history, folktales, and dance. Being able to have reflections of herself in the media she sees keeps her connected to her truth and fosters her self-awareness. Ife advocates for diverse, inclusive storytelling and uses her personal experience and artistic skills to better serve her community.
